Wedgewood in San Clemente is one of my favorite venues- all inclusive, staff is top notch & its always a fun production. For the braver brides, the beach is a 4 min drive, so we all hopped in my car & got some amazing shots for 30 minutes. What a great day.
I’m a big fan of this place. I always get amazing shots there. Clients wanted a lot of couple shots, so we decided to do a 1st look about 3 hours before the ceremony at St. Vincent’s and ran around Walt Disney Concert Hall. And since we did bridal party shots (9 people on each side) there & family shots at the church, we had over an hour for couple shots.
Its a pretty unique place & shot at the right time, looks magical. The first time I shot there, this place had those knee-high weeds that look great in photos. They must have just cut everything a week before I shot there. I still love how this turned out tho.
One of my favorite venues is Hotel Laguna in Laguna Beach, CA. I photographed weddings here many, many times. I love this venue. It has it all.
Wedding on the sand
There is a salon inside the Hotel Laguna called International Hair Salon (http://www.intlhairsalon.com/) that does great work & makes it easy for you to get ready. All inclusive weddings are easy for B&G & guests as opposed to driving to 2 to 3 locations
Awesome sunset shots
Experienced, kickass staff
Doesn’t make sense to whine about sand in your shoe on your wedding day. Solution: go barefoot. I had a bride go barefoot here & she was nothing but smiles the entire day
Lots of people will be walking on the beach in your backgrounds. Find a photographer who will photoshop them out. I always do & the couple shots look like its just you two.
Hotel Laguna is a stellar venue. I highly recommend it.
These two were incredibly fun to shoot. They have such great chemistry while together, it was pretty amazing. Plus, the Casino San Clemente is such a stunning venue- top notch staff, everything located in 1 spot & a quick 3 min walk & you’re standing on the sand.
